Aria D'oriente is a holiday home near the sea of Otranto and the suggestive location of Porto Badisco. Here are some places in Salento (with the relative distances from the structure) that absolutely deserve to be seen

Otranto - 4 km  In Otranto it is worth visiting the enchanting historic center, the Annunziata cathedral with a splendid mosaic inside and the chapel of the Martyrs and the Aragonese Castle. Bauxite quarry - near the famous lighthouse of Punta Palascia and Monte Sant’Angelo. A small lake ecosystem, an enchanting lake with emerald green waters. The presence of Bauxite in the area was discovered around 1940.

Santa Cesarea Terme -  11 km it is a small town rich in oriental architecture. The fame of Santa Cesarea Terme is due, of course, to its thermal waters with salsoiodic and sulphurous properties, the surrounding sea is clear, full of cliffs and caves.

Porto Badisco -  5 km called the landing of Aeneas, it is a small inlet between Otranto and Santa Maria di Leuca, with clear and chrysatalline waters, a natural oasis. Here you can visit the Grotta deri Cervi: a fascinating and ancient underground complex considered one of the most important in Europe. Inside, several wall paintings dating back to the Paleolithic have been found.

Lecce - 32km - A must for the "city of art", where you can admire the baroque in all its splendor, with the typical spiers, portals, churches, monuments. Strolling comfortably on foot through the streets of the center you can visit Piazza Sant'Oronzo, where nearby you will find the Castle of Charles V. Continuing the tour in Lecce you can visit the Palazzo Adorno and the Basilica of Santa Croce, the Amphitheater and the Roman Theater of Lecce.
